First Look At ‘The Voice’ New Judges And Their Unique Chairs | TV News

Out with the old, in with the new. Here’s our first look at the new chairs and the judging panel for the upcoming series of BBC’s The Voice. Set to air on January 9 2016, the new panel includes old favourites will.i.am and Ricky Wilson plus newbies Boy George and Paloma Faith who will be replacing singing legend Tom Jones and newly-appointed X Factor judge Rita Ora.

The new images reveal the foursome surrounded by tacky neon lighting to represent their bold personalities and it appears that the chairs have been given vibrant makeovers to suit each judge individually. Boy George’s creation in particular is far from subtle. It has also been confirmed that series 5 will be the last aired by the BBC, after which the singing competition will move to rival network ITV.

The show came to shocking headlines earlier this year after it was announced that Tom Jones had been axed from the judging panel, leaving a lot of Voice fans in utter shock and disbelief. Personally, I don’t think the show will struggle to survive without him. Check out the new images, plus a new trailer, below:
